Afrofusion blends multiple African street dance styles with Traditional West African dances. It offers participants both technical dance training and insight into the historical and cultural roots of these styles.
The dance style is a street style that incorporates waist and core isolations, footwork, and other core-based movements. This class also encourages students to explore their individuality, self expression, and builds confidence.

Soca (Sokah), short for “soul of calypso,” originated in the 1970s in Trinidad and Tobago. Known for its fast-paced beats and Carnival roots, Soca dance emphasizes hip isolations, fluid waistline movement, and celebration of the body.
It is a cultural expression of joy, resistance, and liberation. These movements are usually performed in Caribbean social settings such as carnivals and fetes. You will learn about the West Indies culture while extending your dance vocabulary.
